This is a great song, and there are many versions of it, but this is exactly how he plays it. Also, I give an easy 
version for it as well...

The way he plays it:

He plays it with an Am barre chord...if you don't believe me, listen to the song and notice the sound of his 
fingers moving up the neck from Am to F.
