This is an modern version of "Bastien und Bastienne", a juvenile Singspiel of the young Mozart dating from about 1768. I have updated the plot, so that it is now set in the reception area of a girls’ magazine called "Nearly 18" (mostly read by 15-year-olds), and I have imported three arias from another Mozart work of the same period, included an extra character and a chorus of girls who read extracts from the magazine at appropriate moments.
Tania, after complaining to Tony about his affair with Flair McHugh, has fooled him into believing she hs now seeing the footballer Idlewild O’Neill.
