"Variations on The Busker’s Music Box Theme" for Orchestra was written as the central piece of music for Daniel J. Laubacher’s first story (also the title of the composition) from the mystery series "The Clues are in the Music." In the story the composition was "written" by the (fictitious) composer Ignaz von Mistelbach. In the music, however, are clues leading to the discovery of a treasure which has been hidden somewhere in Vienna for over 60 years.
