(Shaw/Hendricks) (Level 4) 13 voices, piano, bass and drums. Created by the Artie Shaw Orchestra, this fine piece has some great lyrics by Jon Hendricks all about the way those Boston Back Bay people do the shuffle. It goes along at a medium-fast tempo then builds to a really swinging finale. With good miking and sound engineering (and with good singers!) this arrangement can be an effective showcase for jazz choirs.
