Inviting you to "take eat" and "take drink," Dana Mengel's communion anthem serves as an offertory or as the invitation to communion during your service. Opening with optional soprano and tenor solos, the lilting 3/4 meter invites you to "remember God's love for you."

The piano score will offer no difficulty for most pianists. Consider doubling the left hand inner part of the bass line with cello (adjusting for the octave as needed.) The solo lines are placed within a comfortable range for most singers and could be sung by youth or adult soloists.

Performance options include singing as an invitation to communion. Also consider singing measures 21-44 a cappella as a part of the communion liturgy. These measures could also be repeated softly with the congregation joining in the singing as they feel comfortable or are directed.
