Composed by Georg Philipp Telemann. Edited by Ute Poetzsch. This edition: urtext edition. Stapled. Barenreiter Urtext. Score, Set of parts. TWV 43. Baerenreiter Verlag #BA05873. Published by Baerenreiter Verlag (BA.BA05873).

ISBN 9790006500864. 29.2 x 20.7 cm inches. Key: A major.

A welcome and unusual addition to Telemann's chamber music. This early 18th century piece has largely passed unnoticed, perhaps because of the misleading title “Concerto“ for a work that does not feature one solo instrument but favours all four instruments equally. Our edition presents not only Telemann's original version for strings but also, in ossia passages, the Parisian print of 1752 for flute quartet that was long considered the authentic reading.
