In 1775, at the ripe old age of 19, Mozart decided to write a few violin concerti. His efforts that year. among other things. provided us with five of the greatest such works in musical history. Here is his first effort, a beautiful classical violin concerto, with all the Mozart trademarks. We also include the Rondo Concertant, which Mozart wrote as a replacement third movement for this concerto, though it later became a popular piece on its own standing.
