Few people know that ‘Stanley Dickson’ did not write this internationally renowned song of thanks. There was no ‘Stanley Dickson. ’ It was a pseudonym, one of several used by Australian composer May Brahe to allow publishers to print more of her prodigious output. The only Australian woman composer of international renown in the first part of the 20th century, May Brahe also penned Bless This House and nearly 500 others.
