Liberation Day. Classic Arrangement. Recorded on Molenaar Band Series No. 24. ML.310024630. Grade 3. Score only. Duration 3 minutes, 55 seconds. Published by Molenaar Edition. ML.021818030-S. An adagio is a slow piece of music, somewhat quicker as a largo, but a little bit slower than an Andante. A lot of composers have written adagios, but, no doubt, the most famous is the Adagio in G minor by Tomaso Albinoni. Venice, 1671-1750. , originally composed for organ and strings. Yet this popular tune has been constructed from a manuscript fragment by the 20th century Italian musicologist Remo Giazotto. Rome, 1910. The composition is quite well suited for a wind band transcription and Willy Hautvast did it extremely well, with his usual talent.Translation
