The opening theme from the first movement of Mozart's serenade Eine Kleine Nachtmusik. A Little Night Music. is one of his most recognizable. Written in 1787, the same year as his famous opera Don Giovanni, this masterpiece is an excellent example of Cla. This arrangement includes themes presented in the exposition of the first movement. the bold, arpeggiated opening theme, and the gentle, lyrical second theme. A study in Classical style and articulation, this work requires no shifting except in the bass part, and has few isolated extensions in the cello part. Slightly more advanced than Beginning Strings, this series begins to involve more position work and a slightly more complex rhythmic figures. Rehearsal piano is often provided.
