The work continues to build to an intensity as the virtuosic solo lines bring the piece to a rousing conclusion. This work, originally written for an advanced solo violist, has been designed to allow for multiple performance options. In addition to the advanced solo viola part, an easier grade 2.5 part is included for directors desiring to feature students in their own groups. In addition, alternate violin solos are included as well. Optional percussion. shaker and claves. adds to the overall texture but is not required to perform the work. Similarly, piano adds to the texture but is not required, allowing for a great deal of flexibility.
