A fantastic, dramatic opening. used for years by marching band and drum corps. leads to a rollicking, latin feel. Solos are on the alto sax and trumpet parts. The original score of Richards' was the source for this and all the movements of this suite. Probably the best known and well-liked movement of the whole suite. Recorded on the "Cuban Fire" CD.
