Original

Recondita Armonia composed by Xavier Montsalvatge. 1912-2002. For violin, viola, cello and piano. Instrumental Sets. Duration 25. 00. Published by Editorial de Musica Boileau. BO.B.3032. ISBN 84-8020-147-9. --Carlos Figueroa.

The work was abandoned flagpole that this formation was formed and decided to expand and update Montsalvatge for release on June 2, 1995 in the Church of Sant Pau del Camp. The work obviously written in a time of trial and error, reflects a neo-romantic feeling by which he felt attracted to the top of his creative activity. This estimated by the Italian verismo and Puccini's lyrical music, which continues even today, is even reflected in the title and is more evident in three of his movements, the allegretto which weighs more the more evolved and independent will of his own current orientation aesthetic. The work begins with an allegro con brio movement that is more suited to what is written in the first version, the andante sostenuto that follows reflects more significantly influence the Italian lyric. Allegretto movement is where the changes were more substantial to get a real Scherzo. Finally, the fourth time. moderate-soon. aims to synthesize the general character of the composition from an lyricism sedate final episode of major stress and conclusive force. --Carlos Figueroa.
