Original

Thy Holy Wings. I Lift My Soul. composed by William Miller. For TTBB choir, organ or piano, optional violin, C instrument, or B-flat instrument. General, Trust. Guidance. Moderately Easy. Octavo. Scripture. Psalms 91. 8 pages. Published by MorningStar Music Publishers. MN.50-2521. With Scripture. Psalms 91. General, Trust. Guidance. This four-part men's arrangement of this well known hymn, using the tune BRED DINA VIDA VINGAR, is not difficult and will be worth teaching to the men of your choir. An instrumental obbligato further enhances the piece. While the text to this folk hymn can certainly be used as an evening blessing, the first set of words also relates to Psalms 91 and 51, and could be used when these Psalms occur in the Lectionary. The second set of words is also very usable as a paraphrase of verses from Psalm 25, which occurs often in the Lectionary. The optional violin or C instrument obbligato can also be used with the SATB arrangement. MN.50-8950. Instrumental part in C is included in the choral score.
