Etuden Nach Kreutzer composed by Jordi Cervello. For String quartet. Instrumental Sets. Duration 19. 00. Published by Editorial de Musica Boileau. BO.B.3471. English comments. Jordi Cervello's Etuden nach Kreutzer is a recreation for string quartet of five of the French violinist Rodolphe Kreutzer's most famous etudes. numbers 2, 4, 9, 29 and 30. They are all very different, each of them with its own technical peculiarities. It is a nostalgic pastime in which the author takes into his own expression territory a set of pieces whose educational aim conceals an attractive musical element. The work was first performed by the Casals Quartet in Hamburg's Mozartsaal on 21st September 2006. Etuden nach Kreutzer is a recreation of five of the studies that are part of a series of forty-two who composed the French violinist Rodolphe Kreutzer. Since I started in the composition, I always felt attracted by the scholastic material and had worked as a violinist, in one way or another, I've used in my works. The first time was in the year 1965, when I was inspired by Sevcik exercises to create the Allegro movements Two-Studio. I consider this score as a nostalgic hobby, if you will, in my expressive territory that I could take some pieces that, in addition to its pedagogical intent, hide an attractive musical component. The first Studio is dedicated to fast detache. second in staccato. the third joint of the left hand on linked. the fourth change of rope tied. and the fifth to the rapid crossing of strings and linked detache. It was a work-custom Auditori de Barcelona, premiered by the Quartet Casals in Mozartsaal of Hamburg on September 21, 2006 and subsequently at the Auditori in Barcelona for the inauguration of the Sala de Cambra on 9 and 10 October of the same anus.
