El Coqui Is A Setting of the Puerto Rico Folk Song of the Same Name. The Coqui Is A Small Tree Frog Unique to Puerto Rico and is A Symbol of This Beautiful Island Nation Located in the Caribbean Sea. This Arrangement Features Simple Counterpoint, Idiomatic Percussion Sounds, And Statements Of The Melody In A Variety Of Colorful Textures. The verse of the folk song begins at measure 3, with the frog singing a soft lullaby. The lullaby culminates in the chorus, beginning at measure 19. here the frog sings its famous nightly call, "Coqu", Coqu".
