Original

Triosonate F major composed by Gottfried Finger. 1660-1730. For 2 violins, viol, basso continuo. Czech title. Triova sonata F dur. Classical. Performance score, Set of parts. Published by Editio Baerenreiter Praha. PA.H7813. ISBN 9790260100206. Classical. 31 x 23.5 cm inches. Little research has been done so far to find out more about the life of Gottfried Finger, a composer probably born in 1656 in Olomouc. He soon left Czech lands to occupy several important positions. Finger's compositional legacy is quite extensive. Besides several operas, he composed sonatas and trio sonatas for various instruments and continuo as well as orchestral suites. Several of these works have already appeared in print but many have remained unpublished. This edition of Trio Sonata in F major is the very first edition and it is based on the period copy present in the archive of Uppsala University. The edition of the sonata was prepared by Miloslav Klement.
