Since its publication almost twenty-five years ago, Jack Noble White's setting of The First Song Of Isaiah has enjoyed tremendous popularity. A large part of its appeal is that it can be effectively performed in a simple, meditative manner or as a festival celebration with multiple resources. To this end, a Festival Edition was published in 1996. Its Old Testament text makes it useful not only in Judeo-Christian communities, but also in multi-faith gatherings. White's new setting of "The Third Song of Isaiah" offers this same flexibility and universal appeal.
