One further volume with secular cantatas appeared which she dedicated to the Elector of Bavaria, Maximilian II, in the hope of gaining a new benefactor. This third book, the last volume of her Cantates francoises, is based on secular themes of the ancient world. It contains three works. Semele, L'ile de Delos and Le Sommeil d'Ulisse.
