"When I was a kid, one of my favorite things to do was to listen to my father play flamenco and classical music on his guitar. Although he was a concert violinist his whole life. he began playing concerts at age 5. , his fun and relaxing instrument was the guitar. He often played ""Recuerdos de la Alhambra"", and he even taught me to play it as a duet with him, both of us playing guitars. Tragically, Dad died when I was only 14. For many years, I couldn't bring myself to listen to that piece. Finally, I began to love the piece again. I decided that I'd never be able to play it on the guitar, so instead, I arranged it for solo piano. I uploaded onto YouTube a recording of me playing my piano arrangement, and have loved playing it for many years. Meanwhile, I was getting emails from people all over the world who wanted to learn to play my arrangement. It took five years before I finally decided to transcribe my arrangement.
