Terry Mizesko has performed as the Bass Trombonist for the North Carolina Symphony since 1971. As well he is a noted composer and has had his works performed by a number of orchestras and well known musicians. The Concertpiece for Tenor Trombone and Piano composed in 2009 is an extensive work in a traditional yet contemporary Sonata style in four movements. The Concertpiece ends with an eloquent "Epilog" which sums up the entire work. Movement I is titled "Intrada" and is mostly in an Allegro Tempo. Movement II is titled "Romanza" marked Moderato e rubatoMovement III is titled "Danza Rustica" and moves with quick rhythmic energy. Movement IV is titled "Epilog", slow and evocative in nature. Concertpiece is about 27 minutes in length and can be performed by advanced musicians.
