Piano Sonatas, Op 49. 1, 2. Ludwig van Beethoven. Piano Solo sheet music. Intermediate.

Original

Piano Sonatas, Op. 49. 1, 2 composed by Ludwig van Beethoven. 1770-1827. Edited by Peter Hausschild. Arranged by Karl-Heinz Koehler. For piano. Classic. SMP Level 7. Late Intermediate. Full score. Standard notation. 18 pages. Wiener Urtext. Vienna Urtext #UT050248. Published by Wiener Urtext. Vienna Urtext. PR.UT050248. ISBN 978-3-85055-620-0. With Standard notation. Classic. Following the publication of the Moonlight Sonata and the Grande Sonate pathetique, we now present a new edition of the two Easy Sonatas Op. 49 nos. 1 and 2 by Ludwig van Beethoven. The score has been prepared using the very popular new edition of Beethoven's collected piano sonatas in the Wiener Urtext edition, and supersedes the earlier edition UT 50085. As Beethoven's original manuscript version has not been preserved, this edition is based upon the first edition published in 1805 and the most significant early reprints, whose careful editing procedure has been a major influence on this edition. The printed music is distinguished by its clarity, legibility and reliable phrasing marks. Advice on performance by Leonard Hokanson provides stylistically appropriate suggestions for interpretation. 4 to 5-note chords in both hands and scales in octaves in both hands. Sonata G minor Op. 49, No. 1. Sonata G major Op. 49, No. 2.
