The text by Delores Dufner 0S13 is ecumenical in spirit and speaks of the many gifts and comforts of God. The music is set for mixed choir with organ and oboe a lovely combination. The flowing vocal melody finds its mirror in the oboe with its plaintive sound. The vocal parts mix unison and four-part writing completely in the central portion of the voice. Since the text pleads for God to come to us this would also be appropriate for the season of Advent.
