Sing, My Tongue, The Song of Triumph. A Cappella sheet music.

Original

Sing, My Tongue, The Song of Triumph. Pange lingua. Composed by Giulio Bentivoglio. Arranged by Charles Thatcher. For Three-Part Mixed Choir a cappella and optional Assembly. Music for the Seasons. Sacred, Good Friday, Palm Sunday. Octavo. 6 pages. Published by World Library Publications. WL.005821. Sing, My Tongue, the Song of Triumph is one of the texts assigned to the Veneration of the Cross during the liturgy of Good Friday, and its images of the Crucifixion make it appropriate for Palm Sunday as well. In this arrangement, English verses are sung to the ancient chant melody, in alternation with the corresponding Latin verses in a simple motet setting. This can be performed in a number of ways, including alternating between men's and women's voices, and having the assembly join in singing the English chant verses.
