Original

A catch for three voices. There are two editions from 2 distinct sources. The edition which appeared in Horsley's collection was "bowdlerised" to remove the lewdness of the original. It also required the initial 8 bars of each part to be sung 3 times, rather than once only as in the original version. For the obsolete meaning of the verb "roger" see the wikipedia entry for that word.
